The prestigious UPPSC Review Officer/Assistant Review Officer (RO/ARO) (uppsc ro aro exam) examination was conducted on Sunday, July 27, across all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh, witnessing the participation of more than 10.76 lakh candidates. The exam was held under stringent security protocols at 2,382 designated centers throughout the state.
Organized by the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC), the examination aims to fill the coveted posts of Review Officer and Assistant Review Officer in various state government departments. The three-hour-long test was conducted in a single shift from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
District magistrates across the state were appointed as nodal officers to ensure smooth execution of the exam and to swiftly address any issues on the ground. Additional instructions were issued to the Special Task Force (STF) and local police forces to maintain law and order and prevent any malpractice or disruption.
In the state capital Lucknow alone, more than 125 centers were established. Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Shashank Singh personally inspected multiple exam locations under his jurisdiction, confirming that all arrangements were in place and functioning efficiently.
This year’s exam saw a record turnout, underscoring the intense competition for government positions in Uttar Pradesh. The UPPSC ensured that both logistical and security preparations were thoroughly implemented, with seamless coordination reported across most examination centers.
Further announcements regarding answer keys, result dates, and subsequent stages of the selection process are expected to be issued by the Commission in the coming weeks.
